Am I the only one who liked the movie The Adventures of Pluto Nash? I saw it again for the second time last night and I still laughed. Is that strange? Do I need help? :)

More Friday-fied random acts of senseless thinking…
Whatever happened to that tv show Greg the Bunny? Why didn’t that show ever get picked up for another season? That show was funny! When one of the puppets, Warren, got chewed out or ‘ripped a new one’, he really got ripped a new one! :) The poor thing had to get sown back up down there. Then there was the vampire puppet named Count Blah who always finished a sentence with “Blah.” One day they tried to hip-hop him up and get him to change his signature lingo. “It’s a’ight... Blah.”
And why in the world did Dennis Leary’s show The Job get cancelled? That was one of the funniest shows on tv! EVER! It cracked me up hardcore. It had great writing and a great comedic cast. So why was nobody watching it? What’s wrong with you people??!!
And Special Unit 2? Why didn’t that show get picked up for another season? That show was awesome! Very funny. Very fresh and different. Very high on the cool beans rating system.
You know what? I need to become rich and famous so that I can help fund some of these shows I want to see stick around. You say the network’s going to cancel this show because the ratings are down and no one wants to buy up commercial space? Well hell! I’ll buy it all! If only I'd been rich enough when Space: Above and Beyond was still on. Now that was a high quality show.

Why do I have to sound like an idiot every time I leave a message on some one's answering machine/voice mail? WHY? It’s one thing when it’s a friend's machine, but why do I have to suddenly forget how to speak like any other sane person when its work related???
“Hi, this is SoAndSo from Whatever Company. I have a few questions about the thingamajig. If you could call me back I'd greatly appreciate it. My number is 555-1234, extension 9367. Thank y— OH WAIT! The extension is 3967. Thank you.”
That message was quickly followed up with a big ol’ mental smack to the forehead. D’oh!
Amazingly, with all the verbal constipation and gibberish talk I do here at work, my cover has yet to be been blown! They still believe me to be a competent, articulate, hardworking gal! The fools! Mwhahahahahaaaa :)

Don’t you just hate it when you wake up in the morning and think its Saturday, but you’re not quite sure so you think about it really hard, then you realize its really Friday? (Or even *gasp* only Wednesday?!) I hate when that happens, and it happened to me this morning. When I realized that it was Friday and I was going to have to get out of bed in a matter of minutes, it totally bummed me out. My spirits were lifted, however, when someone brought a huge bag of bagels and tubs of cream cheese to work. I was in carbohydrated bliss! There’s still some left on the table behind me, and I can hear one of the bagels calling to me. “Yoohoo! You know you want to eat me for lunch. Eat me! Eat me! Eat me!” I think I just might, because who am I to deny such a demanding bagel? I wouldn’t want it to get violent with all the cream cheese covered plastic knives lying around.
To top of the jabbering bagels behind me there’s a huge window in front of me. My desk at work faces the wall furthest from the door. But it’s not just any wall; it’s a huge gigantic window! While I work (and I do work! honest!) I get to look out at the trees, and the mountains and the bright blue sky. (Well, today it’s half bright blue, half icky smog. Bleagh.) It’s nice to have such a scenic view... except for on days like today, where I soooo don’t want to be in here, and I soooo want to be out there. It’s sunny, there’s a light breeze playing through the leaves of the trees and IT’S FRIDAY!
Yummy bagels... beautful weather taunting me through the window... the fact that its Friday... How am I supposed to concentrate on work with all that going on? Hmm?
What a day for a daydream...

Here I am at work, trying to hide my chin no-it’s-not-a-hickey bruise. Woe is me!
Last night, I was sitting at the computer, drinking from a bottle of water. I had the bottle on the desk in front of me and for no good reason decided to work on poor posture. I leaned forward and put my chin on top of the bottle. It was sort of like a headrest. And when I rested my head on top of the uncapped bottle with the full weight of my head (the bottle was the only thing holding up my head) the rim of the mouth of the bottle dug into my skin. I didn’t think anything of it at the time, it didn’t hurt or anything. But after awhile it did become uncomfortable, and it wasn’t working very well as a new thinking position, so I sat up straight and got back to whatever it was I was doing. Well, when Mr. Stud Muffin came home he noticed something underneath my chin.
“Did you scratch yourself?” he asks.
“Uh... [insert scrunchy memory-backtracking face] ...not that I remember.”
But now I’m curious so I go to the bathroom to check it out. At first glance, I see a red mark in the shape of a circle. Mentally I shake my head.
“Oh, I know what that’s from.” Then I glance at it a second longer. “OMG! It looks just like a hickey!”
If anyone here at works spots it, they’re first thought isn’t going to be, “She shouldn’t be resting her chin on a water bottle like that.” It’s going to be, “OMG! It’s a hickey!” I think I’ll be walking around with my head down for most of the day. Sheesh. Or maybe I can walk around with one hand on my chin, like I'm pondering some really deep thoughts. Hmmm... I like that option.
